This is probably a silly question but do the straps have loops at the bottom for a bottom rope to go through? Tammy

Yes they do, Tammy.
You put a towel on top of the pumpkin so as not to mar it, set the ring on top and the straps down the side, then tighten and halfhitch the rope a few times at the bottom. Arrange the straps evenly, and lift.
Funnoodles slit lengthwise can be added to the straps to help prevent messing up the 'kin.

I have some on the way Guys!,these are a definite must have and the only lifters you will ever need to buy for as long as you grow pumpkins. Why I didnt order mine sooner I have no idea!,,just lazy I guess, I always wait untill the last minute to do things,,ha! Im tired of the ropes and different size straps that I used to have to fight with that I would have to rap the straps around the ring 4 or 5 times to make sure all straps would ended up the same length when I would pick my pumpkin up.
I hate when I would get my pumpkin just off the ground and then my pumpkin would start to tilt sideways (not a good feeling!!lol),, then I would have to sit it back down on the ground again re adjust my ropes/straps and repeat the process,,(pain in the butt!)
But if you plan on growing pumpkins for a while and be lifting some big or even small pumpkins why chance that 5 months of hard work on the very last day when your loading your pumpkin on some crappy different size and shape straps?
These type seat belt straps that Ray sells will never break and last you a life time, plus make your lifting 100% a hell of alot easier and safer to make the job go alot smoother. Trust me on this, because I lift most of my pumpkins by myself.
I am not a actor and was in no way told or payed to do a advertisement on these straps, I just finally got smart and just made my lifting alot easier and worry free, Haaaa! LOL

Ive had no problems with my strap lifter..it never marred the skin at all. I just had to learn how to tie a square knot. It took 10 minutes to get the pumpkin in the truck, from start to finish. Get one Tammy, you wont be sorry. You will need a clevis to gather the straps at the top. Im sure Ray would be happy to answer any of your questions.
