I, and I'm sure everyone else, really enjoy looking at all the great pumpkins, etc. that have been grown this year. Color and shape are obvious but if the photo is a close up and there are no measurements it is many times difficult to have any idea of weight. It would be great if more of the photos showed a beer can, hat, etc. as a frame of reference.

Some don't include something to size reference intentionally, they want there to be a little mystery. Some just don't think of it.

I always stand about 6-7 feet behind the fruit, bend at the knees, and cross my arms under my chin like it's shoulder high and I'm resting my arms on it.

This year I'm 10' back and Kneeling...

Get a mini bottle and really make them squirm...its that time of year where you show pictures and not actual sizes and weights..it can make a big difference sometimes if you have two weigh offs near by and you know Christy is showing up with a World Record..I will bring my 1600lber to the other weigh off

Hey Bumpkin - If you check my grower diary of 8/14 you can see my 1229 Nesbitt beauty - it had a circumference of 168.5 inches then (1070 lbs) BUT how much has it grown since then ???

As Kevin and Chrsty said above " I guess Ill make them squirm" "

Oh yea, that is a beer can in the center as a frame of reference.
