I see that weigh offs are going on now. Is it possible to keep some 300 lbs pumkins all the way till halloween. I have some on the vine. What would give me the best chance at having them around that long? They look great but others around them on other plants have rotted away. thanks alot again

I usually harvest mine around Oct 1 -10. If healthy they should have no problem lasting until Halloween. Best of luck.

I took a 100# AG in to my mom's last September. She had it outside until well after Halloween (uncarved) and when it started getting cold, she rolled it inside the front door and left it sit on the tile floor all winter. Finally about April/May it started getting the tiniest little soft spot on it so I took it home and broke it up for the deer to eat out back. It was still solid the whole way through.
