Team-Pumpkin wants to thank all the growers that have already submitted their paper registration for the Durham Fair, but to those that have not yet you are in luck. I am moving the deadline from this Wednesday to September 18th. Remember there is NO registration fee.
We gave out many seedlings this past spring to those that attended our second seminar and we hope that the website along with our patch tours has helped you grow a new personal best. All pumpkins that pass inspection will be on display for the now 4 day Durham Fair for all fairgoers to enjoy. We strongly encourage all growers to attend even if you do not think you have top-10 material. By showing what you grew you will get to talk with many other growers and exchange ideas like a “Team”.

The 4th, 5th, and 6th heaviest entries will receive $100 each.
The 7th through 10th heaviest entries will receive $50 each.
Ribbons will be awarded to the top 30 entries, but all entries will receive a certificate acknowledging their accomplishment.
In order to receive prize money, your entry must remain intact and on display for the duration of the fair (9 a.m. Thursday to 7 p.m. Sunday).
If anyone else has questions please let me know.

Hi PG-
We do not mail anything back since this is unnecessary paper work from my point of view. The Fair requires preregistration so we know how many growers to expect.
If you can just provide your last name I can check my records for registered pumpkin growers.
Thanks,
-Matt

Hi Paul-
I have your paper work on file so you are all set.
Great to hear you will be bringing a pumpkin from one of the plant we gave out during our seminar. Hope it sets a new personal best for you!
