i have a stem rot problem ,i have cleaned it out with bleach and let it dry then put captin in it ? I have bleached and then put sulfer in it?? and its still getting bigger ..It is now every close to entering the pumpkin ??? Can i clean out dry and then fill it with calk ??? i don't know what else to try and its my biggest one at around 360lbs..I don't want to cut it but if i have to to save it i will.. Any help would be great...THANKS BOB.......

Hopefully you can carve out diseased tissue until you have only clean green tissue left no matter how much you must dig out, getting down to clean tissue is best. Then the strongest fan you can muster pointed at that spot for as long as it takes I think is the best option until completely dry. Even then more cracks can develop that will require attnetion. Try letting the fan dry the pumpkins natural bleeding and form it's own scar tissue in that damaged area. I've felt adding too much captan and other stuff can hinder getting air in there to dry it properly. Even cutting it off the rot will continue if not treated.
