My sons project is comming to a end. We have hole going into the cavity by the stem. We only had a few weeks to go, we had a lifting party set up with over 50 people attending that looks like we have to cancel. I have caulked the hole with liquid nails as requested to try to "stop the bleeding" . Thank you all for the advise and inspiration this year. We came close to our goal of 700lbs. Look out next year were going for 1000.
