Is there other ways ,to pick up your pumpkin; other than a tripod or a tarp to get it in the back of your truck?

Depending on the size and how many friends you can round up - there's always the old fashioned way - (Just make sure the pumpkin is loaded before the beer cooler is raided !)

whats the old fashion way. I have 4 large straps so I can get 8 people around ours and just lift. My pumpkin is around 700 lbs.

Last year I loaded a 682 pounder with two people. Tipped it on its side, got a pallet beside and let it down. Then got a pallet jack (hand truck) and pulled the pumpkin on the pallet using a couple sheets of plywood, up to our driveway where I could back up the van and pushed it right into a cargo van.

I used a bed mounted hydraulic lift for a couple of years. I think Brooks used a cherry picker (engine hoist) once! LOL

I use that Tractor Beam they're working on. You know, the 1 they use to move Minute Items, like bacteria, protoza, and klancy's pumpkins.

Find someone with a forklift or bucket loader on the front of their tractor.
Got me out a bad spot last October.

Got a friend with a wrecker truck? Works great if you have the straps!

I'm hoping my son comes over with his excavator. But if that doesn't happen I have six guys lined up to do the manual thing. But with the guys I'm afraid the beer will cost more than the fuel for the excavator would cost!

We have used the front loader on the tractor. We've also rolled it up on 2 boards.
