It all started when I thought a Dills seed from Lowes was a good seed. Now I have three, 100lb orange boats...

This has been a bad year for the entire garden for me this year. A lot of my plants have squash mosaic virus(ag's included)and plenty of other things have gone wrong.

Cool wet year here on the coast of BC. Late spring with cooler than normal average and wet until July, which didn't really heat up until part way thru and then a real nice Aug and now we go cool and wet again for probably until next May. If we get a few nice days I'll have 200 lbs. of tomatoes, otherwise I'll be ripening those in the basement. My 2nd bean crop is setting in neutral, Yeah, could use some more sun and heat here for sure. The only thing that really seemed to grow well this year was the deer. Yummmm Generally a poor year for my gardens but for the good news- my first year to really try an AG and I got this 600 lbs thing setting up the hill that I can see from the window which is pretty nice. I think I'll get serious next year. Now I just got to find some good seeds....

Splits, aborts, more splits, more aborts, fatal stem splits, fatal blossom end splits, and last weekend, vandals running throught the patch and destroying my largest. Other than that its been a pretty good year.

Rain almost every other day prevented timely insecticide applications, resulting in plagues vine borer and cucumber beetles. Too many weeds and tertiaries due to all the mud. 2 trips to the hospital including gall bladder surgery. Super hot August. Cold start to September. We only have one good pumpkin left in the patch. Still it is not as bad as last year when a flood wiped out hte patch or 2006 when disease took everything out.

Like Iowegian said, frequent heavy rain was a major issue this year. Our part of the state has had over 45 inches of rain this year. Next year can only get better!

Yellow vine disease due to the stupid stink bugs took care of my season for the second year in a row. Wait till next year.... I'll have one at 430" OTT and go 12% heavy hahaha
