This has been a hard summer growing in Virginia, but I actually have a few extra pumpkins in the 200-300 pound range that I would like to sell to purchace some supplies for next year.
I have researched BP's past message boards, and wanted to ask if $ 0.50 per pound is still the best price to use for a giant pumpkin.
My friend just bought some pie and jack-o-lantern pumpkins for about $ 0.60 per pound.
Also please let me know who you have had luck marketing these giants too.
Thanks!

tom, 0.50/lb is what my low end price would be in the 300lb range. my starting price for good orange 300 pounders is $200. the color and shape makes a big difference in what people will pay. farm festivals with corn mazes and such and also just homeowner halloween enthusiests are my staples. hope your season has been a good one.

For a nice orange 300lb pumpkin I think $200 is a fair price. These things aren't easy to grow especially at your location so I think high end would be fair.

I've got a 800-1200lbs pumpkin --- how much does something like that go for?
