50 miles either way will make us or break us if Earl doesn't turn east we are in trouble...
If the projected track of Earl stays like the "experts" say we will dodge the bullet of Earl, down here....
my brothers and sisters and friends and Giant Pumpkin growers in Coastal New England might be in for a rough ride..hope all stays safe and sound....hunker down comes here he comes.

So. Maine

In 1991 Bob drained 9 1/2 inches of rain on us and with-in 2 weeks 2 of the 4 "over 500 lb." Est. Wt. giants turned rotten brown then to mush BUT , the big guy made it to the Fair going 675 lbs . We don't need another 9 1/2 inches . Besides it was close to 100 degrees today so we pumped water on them again . I'll take 1 inch or less please ...

I'm worried about the plant getting destroyed with the wind. The water doesnt matter to me since the fruit appears to have stopped growing. I believe that if this storm is bad my season may be over.
