I cut open my aborted 30 day old pumpkin and it was solid inside with mature seeds, has anyone seen this before?

Depends on what you mean by solid. The smaller ones I've cut open don't have an air cavity in them. Usually the foam stuff that holds the seeds in place is what is filling the center of the pumpkin. Do you have a pic?

I can't find the usb cable for our camera and we haven't got around to replacing it. I figured that they probably don't get a cavity until they get larger. I'm just thrilled I have seeds I should be able to work with next year.I like the potential for size and orange. Probably 1 out of every 30 seeds is full size, and I only need 1 to germinate.

It's only 36 cc, late pollination. It gave up on me about a week ago but I left it plugged in in case the seeds would continue to develop. The hobby has been fighting me all year. No weigh off for me, but I have a cross I'm looking forward to growing next year if I can get one of those seeds to take.

I had a feeling you'd get seeds from 'er shaker. I cut open a 300 EST 1421.5 Stelts x 1258 Wallace a few weeks ago and got the most seeds I ever have from a pumpkin-all mature. I'll grow it next year too.

It's the only bright side of the season GPD, It is amazing how many seeds are in that little sucker. I'm just amazed there are some that are full sized after just 30 days. The cots may not be fully developed but Bart? told me about a trick to get around that. I have enough to get around some failures next Spring. Good luck next year.
