can someone tell me what equipment is needed to MCee an event? i have friends that are musicians that have plenty of diffrerent size amplifiers and microphones. what size amp works best and how many are needed for good sound coverage for everyone to hear properly over the sound of the skidsteers running. any MCees out there with any advice on what has worked the best for you, please contact me at [email protected] or just post here what size and how many amps are needed. also all other advice for what has worked best for the whole MCee process is welcome info for all those MCee Extradonaires out there. thanks, shazzy

Since you are only running voice thru the PA system, you don't need a large cabinet with big subwoofers or anything. Select a pair of small cabinets with a 8 inch woofer or smaller and separate mid/high speaker. Due to the smaller cabs a large power amplifier would not be required. I imagine 200 watts would be sufficient to blow away any pumpkin venue I've ever seen with vocals only. Just make sure the speakers are in front of the mic, not behind.

Microphones- the Shure SM58 is the industry standard for stage vocal mics. But a lesser known fact is that the Sennheiser E835 is a superior mic for much cheaper. Pretty much whatever your band friends can offer you in the way of vocal mics will probably work out great though.
