this one isn't orange, but how do you like this monster?,,
I told shaz I wouldn't jinx him like I did last year by telling him how much his 1385 would go heavy over and over,, but I will say this for a fact, and this isn't jinxing him cause I know Im right,, this one is definitely a tad bigger!(not saying its going heavy shaz, just saying your 991 looks bigger,, haaaa! I dont want to jinx,,,lol,,, Its great to see a good bud grow a REAL monster after all his years of trying, I hope you do it shaz!
bring it home shaz,, bring that baby home TO MOMMA!!!,,ha!

thanks Boz. it has been a silly fun ride but learned from last year that numbers do not mean a thing til they hit the scale. there is no way you jinxed my pumpkin last year with magical "brooksey" powers cuz it only averaged 4" thick across the entire top of the pumpkin and maybe 6" thick on the sides last year with many rib lines with only 2 inch covering. balloon. it grew so fast and was 522 lbs on day 30 last year and then slowed quicker. this one at least was only 23.5" on day 10, found a nice groove and got to 467 on day 30, and stayed with it for awhile longer than last years. i think this has to be better for internal wall thickness developemt. at least i am hoping. Dan Bowles', Gene McMullens' and Todd & Sequoia Ellenbeckers' 991s all went 5% heavy last year exactly and those were the 3 closest 991s to my proximity and similar shapes. so my guestimate will be that it hopefully will go 5% heavy also. but i have been bitten by the balloon last year...like i said...the scales do not lie and the tape is just the tape. whatever it weighs, it is a big freak that looks like a dragon's head or a giant alligator's head and has been fun as hell to grow to this point. and who says it will make it to scale...still 31 days to go boz...that's a long long time a way...and also more time to grow if i keep'er her going. lol. ya just never know in this damn hobby. and that's why i love it so much.
