Jordan, you keep talking about your prettiest pumpkin on BP.com but with 719 pictures in your diary, there is not one picture of this pumpkins....sup with that?
Don't know about any real size Brooks, but someone playing the silly sandbag game (after playing the "I'm going to win the State Championship game last year in her diary) is Okie-Gal. Again not a single pumpkin picture in her pumpkin diary yet there are 180 pictures of other things. Too much pre-bragging about the State record last year has her claiming that she is pumpkin-less this year....ya...we all believe that one....

Sorry Glenn, I'll post some pictures today. Plus, I agree what with what you said, seems like Deb (Okie-Gal) is hiding a little something...

Check out Mehdi's diary. He may have a contender. Things have been pretty quiet from the top MN growers it seems. If damaging storms, or other misfortunes, haven't hit the top MN grower's patches, I think some monsters could come out of the state. It think the weather's been pretty good overall in the state.

yea, okie with out a pumpkin?,, I just dont see that happening, is she sandbagging ya think? Is she Sandbagging a big one for her own weigh off ?,, guess we will see if she is, or isn't come October,,,,Ha!
but I have heard the Oklahoma state record has been smashed already at day 40, and still growing strong,,,,but it hasnt seen a certified scale yet so ya cant count that one yet,,,, but this could all be rumor also, thats what makes this growing fun this time of year, huh Glenn?,,ha!

Brooks, I guess that is why no pumpkin photos and the sandbagging by Okie...she must have heard the same thing that you and I did. As a matter of fact, the Oklahoma grower with that pumpkin was going to pick it early and drive to another weighoff in a differant State, but I heard that the pumpkin will be going to the weighoff that Okiegal will be at in their own State...guess it must still be growing. I've seen a picture of it (I'll send it to you Brooks) and it looks like a contender for sure!!

Mine so big you can see it from "SPACE"...I don't think it's hard to tell, none of the heavy hitters post diary's. Someone has to be outfitted with a camera and go on a road trip to the heavy hitters patchs, a "Top Secret Mission".

Glenn, if thats the pumpkin, then Oklahoma cant say nothing about there cold bad weather anymore,,lol,,,well maybe they can, cause it looks like its being grown in a green house, is it? that thing is a monster! what seed is that being grown off of, the 991 seed?, and that pumpkin behind it looks huge also, but it might just look like that because its far away.
But that wasnt the same pumpkin I was talking about, looks like there is going to be competition in that state this year cause the two look really close in size.
Beachy never sand bags *cough*, thats the same as saying a cuss word to him,,,lol!!

For the umpteenth time, I started the year with great intentions... and got dealt the mreeeep hand. I am also NOT the only grower >here< that zeroed this year, not been a good year period in the panhandle for 'kins.
I have heard too the OK state record may go over 1k this year, and I can't wait to see who punts me one :) OKC area got some really bad weather this year, and the other contender I can think of, has had no break on weather either.
I don't have a pumpkin left, or squash, or long gourd, or marrow, or now, not even a watermelon. Two tomato plants and three sets. Oh well.
If I had a pumpkin I'd be posting pics. Y'all know it. I hated blanket duty and all the nasty spiders but man I wish I was doing it right now.
Hope you manage to land a new PB on the scale this year, I get to try again in 2011. No sand here. It's been weird to have time to dedicate to the weighoffs even.
If that new state record 'kin shows here on the back of a pickup, we'll be proud to check it over, weigh it in, hang the ribbon on it and hand over the check and the plaque (and the fugly-dustcollecting traveling trophy). And you'll see me in the skunk hat.
