Here in Indiana its starting to get down in the 50's and tonight suppose be Low of 46... Will this hurt the pumpkin growth? Should I cover them up with a blanket insted of a towel?

Sounds like my entire summer, and yes, it will slow growth.

I covered mine last night with a sleeping bag, and will continue to do so until we warm back up.

Cover it with a blanket or two.

I'd kill for overnight lows of 46. We had a few nights two weeks ago in the mid 30's and more are on the way.

You guys in the midwest really have it lucky. Here in the Puget Sound area we have had few, if any, nights above 60 all summer long. We use blankets, cloches and heaters all season.
