Oh yeah, I know several growers in washington which don't go to bigpumpkins.com or any forum, and consistently grow the pumpkin 1500+ pounds, it's just a matter of time until they get lucky!

Abbynormal had up a pic of a biggin from RI grown by Joe Jutras. Easily over 1100-1250 now. Do you have the OTT on the Norm? Bodene still has a huge one growing and there are some monsters in WI.

Gene, The pumpkin I'm talking about is this one - www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=142342 I'm 99% sure that it is in the Jutras patch.
Is this the one you are talking about?- www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=142889
Either way they are both monsters and I hope they will stay together.

Martin, you are correct, that is the Jutras patch. I recognize the background. The fruit is a beauty, but I am really impressed with how good the plant looks ! Lee
