Subject: SVB EGGS? Is it to late in the season???

I was out doing some routine plant maintenance and noticed eggs that look identical to this on my plant. (Link below)
They are laid in a single fashion but laid all over the place right after the fruit on the main vine, leaf stems, top of leafs and bottom of leafs. There has to be at least a hundred or so in one little area, but like I said they are spaced out and are NOT laid in groups. A lot of them also have a white type stringy webbing attached to them.

I crushed one and the shell was disked shaped and some what of a hard shell.

I saw an SVB moth going around laying eggs just yesterday. Definately not too late.

they seem to hang around my patch to make sure no pumpkins are growing anymore then they leave.they make sure the babies do a good job.i think they give out trophies and orange jackets at the end of the year at niagra,,svb convention.......

In hot summers its very common to have late season broods hatch.

I pulled about 25 vine borers out of my plant last weekend!Still on the look out for the little bast...guys.
