I'm going to be entering my pumpkin in the Marshfield fair in 7 days. I'm wondering if there is anything special I can do to pack on some last minute, or anything that needs to be done to pumpkin in week leeding up to cut and move.
I'd like to thank everyone who helped answer my questions this year. My family and I have wanted to grow a pumpkin for the fair for a long time and with your help we have a nice pumpkin, just gotta get it cut and to the fair now :-) My kids are so excited!

Just don't get so carried away trying for those last few pounds that you blow it up !! -- I'd just keep it going steady doing what you've been doing and get what you can that way rather than chance a last minute blow out.

I would be on the side of caution before any weigh off. If you try to push the fruit you could have to many mishaps and you have enough stress as it is. 4 days before the weigh off is not a time to start getting crazy. Just continue to monitor the general health of the plant and keep checking the fruit for any flaws or potential mishaps. Good luck Rich and make sure you give us a recap on how it went.
