5" 10 miles from here last night. Rotted vines, stumps, pumkins, etc...etc....etc....etc....lol. Roads washed out / closed....federal highways closed...
I cannot dry anything out. Maybe the bugs in there eating away will dry it out for me.....lol.

I have to wait a half an hour after I eat to go to the patch for fear of getting a cramp and drowning! What a year. I just wish I had more stumps left so I could watch them foam this morning. I guess I will have to swim out and check the rain guage.

Only when I run the sprinklers.
I haven't even mowed the lawn since the end of June. The 4-5 storms that have gone thru the area, rained hard on the other side of town and the next town over. Just sprinkles here.
About an inch for the month of July. I hope my well & pump hold up. My fruit aren't!?!

Hey Don:

A new record for the most rain in one month was set for our area during the month of July. Got over 3 inches last night.

DANG Don! Some of the rest of us would take a little of that rain if you'd quit being so stingy and let some come past you.
We did get about .5 inches Friday and .3 today. I can live with that to supplement my watering.

I'll take some from ya Don. My magical juju rain dance will have them leaving your area asap and heading to michigan at once cause my well pump has been howling at me for the last 2 weeks.

Right with you Don but only got .8th Tues nite but lot of wind and blew some vines around and lost some leaves. With temps in the 90's and high humidity it's been hard to stay out in the patch too long. With the rain got some slug budies that are using up 1/2 my beer allotment in their portable taverns.Ain't it fun?

same deal here as other southcentral PA growers--rain is scarce. got some today--much needed. I saw a guy cutting corn for silage yesterday and it looked like lime was being spread in the field from all the dust.

I've been doin' some considerable studying on this and I think I know why Don is getting all of that rain. See if you think my theory is valid.
Don's pumpkins have so much mass that they have affected the gravitation pull on the moon, thereby changing it's orbit to circle over Iowa. Since the moon has major affects on seasons and weather, it is concentrating the heat and rain over Don's house....
What do you think?

In the North East, be happy with the weather your getting. You can always add water, but you can't take away rain !

With all the monster pumpkins growing on the East Coast I think the earths rotation is slowing down , can't you feel it ?

I agree with Don's pumpkin mass shifting the earth's axis. It has now effected our lovely state to the North of Mr. Young.. 6 inches this week ! More on it's way with opressive humidity...
