Can anyone please help me figure out how much this thing might weigh? I have no idea but it looks pretty heavy, I think. My pumpkin is 32" wide, 28" high and 33" long and is 64 inches around.

It's probably about 80-90 pounds.

Lol, I hope she's a lot heavier than 80-90 pounds. Gotta be at lot heavier, I'm thinking around 400#'s. It's pretty big. I posted some pictures I'll attach when they are approved.

Can you take OTT measurements? It's anyone's guess with the measurements provided, for example: 64 inches around in OTT terms means circumference. Based on your other dimensions a 64 inch circumference with a 28 inch height would put your front to back measurements at approx 68 inches. Now that's gonna be one crazy pumpkin! Circumference is most often (not always) the largest OTT measurement. I can see why someone would guess 80-90 pounds.

If you think it's about 400 pounds then the circumference should be 100+ inches (not always).

What basic shape does your pumpkin exhibit? Block, Wheel, etc....

Do these 3 simple measurements and add them up to get OTT. Then use the chart to get a weight estimate. There are more recent OTT charts out there but this is a start and the 3 measurements are standard.

At 400 pounds, your measurements would be something like this:

120 inches circumference (parallel to the ground, start measurement at the stem, go all the way around fruit, finish at the stem)

74 inches side to side (start on the ground on the left side of fruit, end on the ground on right side of fruit.

72 inches front to back (start on the ground below the stem all the way to on the ground below the blossom)

This would give you a total of 266 inches when all three measurements are totaled. Approximate weight would be 400 pounds, plus or minus.

I'd say it's about 120lbs.

The seasons still in swing Rich. Don't get to bogged down with measurments. Do what is needed to keep the plant disease free and healthy. I measure once a week just to see that the fruit is making good gains. My main focus is plant health and fruit health. Don't push or try to force fruit growth that almost always leads to somthing catastrophic. Nothing worst than having to walk to the patch and see a split fruit. Ouch. It hurts just to think about it. Hope you get a big one Fig! Keep up the good work.

It looks way over 120 lbs to me. Rich are you just measuring across the top of the pumpkin for those measurements? Side to side and end to end measurements go over the top of the pumpkin, and down to ground level on each side. That looks way over 64" circumference.

115 x 80 x 76, and she does a really nice orange color. Looks like it's a bit over 400#'s. Looks a lot bigger though.
