I think most growers users use captan and daconil to handle rot with pumpkin injuries. I have used krazy glue twice to handle injuries and the injuries healed up just fine without any rot and fruit kept growing. I wanted to treat them quickly and I didn't have any fungicides on hand. So if you can't get ahold of a fungicide quickly, give the glue a try. Disclaimer: I live in a very dry environment.

Put Sulphur powder on it. Thats about the only fungicide powder you can buy in Ontario that is allowed under the pesticide ban. You canfind it at any garden center or big box store. Maybe put a fan on it to keep it dry for a few days if it is seeping at all.

I clean the area with bleach first then I put down the antifungal powder then put a fan on to dry it.
