248 is good for your rookie year,,,once you get into this more you'll see that an ott of 300 by that date are the fruits to watch,, But again that number blows away my first year,,(made it to 500 pounds) If you want to,, and only if you do,, add something with high potash,, such as 0-0-50,,, also you can use wood ash,, wood ash has high potash levels,,I know there is a certain kind to use someone that has done it before may help you out on the ash,,,,
Me personally,,I would stay away from high potash substances, Just my experience on the matter,, If you get the soil right in the beginning there is no point to ruin it by adding potash,,,
I would try to keep the plant healthy,,, try fish/seaweed,,

I to would stay away from potash to early in the growing cycle, it is known more as a finisher. Might ripen the fruit to fast. Have to be careful with wood ash, it is a good source of potash but can also wreak havoc with pH levels. I believe it tends to raise the level (someone correct me if I am wrong) and if so it is very hard to lower a high pH vs. lowering it.

thank you i've been putting 0-26-52 because i thought you were supposed to when your pumpkin was basketball size' i will lay off it the only reason i got 0-26-52 was i could not find 0-0-62 which i found now but i've been using compost, molasses, worm castings, fish/seaweed fert.,10 gallons every 7-10 days thanks for the input i'm hopeing for 600lbs.

I agree too much potash for day 32. Dilute it if your using foliar 0-0-15 would be plenty I would be more concerned about stump rot and mildew right now
