So it looks like I will finally be getting a marrow or two after babying the crap outta the plant. Had to do everything but sleep with it to get me a set. LOL Anyway here is my question. All these fruits will be sidevine fruits due to none taking on the main. If I have a set on a few sidevines 15ft down the main and 10ft up the sidevine does the rest of the plant still feed the fruit? Vine was 50ft long but had to cut 10ft off due to a rotting spot. Like if I grow a marrow at a 15ft sidevine does the rest of that vine after and before feed the fruit or whats between the fruit and the stump only?

I think just like any plant you are going to be fed from both ends, maybe more from the stump side but I think you still get fed from whats in front of the fruit also, remember these are the younger leaves and it only stands to reason that their intake might be more effective.

Hopefully these things get fed from whats ahead of them because this plant has been in the ground since 2 weeks before labor day so there is not many leaves left before the 10' mark LOL
