I get a pumpkin on, had a 10 day 26" on it rotted for no apparent reason, got a a second pumpkin 5 days old starts to get soft, I don't know what's worng, I still have up tarps 1/2 way around the patch for storm/wind break, but maybe not enough airflow??? Heck who knows, first year so we will see???

This summer has been tough for many growers the heat aND HUMIDITY has been making a whole host of issues that aren't seen here in New England if it isn't the hard rain its the critters or the heat that caused the aborts. So many things came into play this year many growers have had issues that they never had before.

Thanks, we ahve a good pumpkin set on anotehr plant at a different location, so that is good, but just when I think I got one that is going to take off BAM, starts softening up???
This hobby is alot of work LOL

tuck hang in there the season is in swing and everyone has these issues at one point in their growing seasons...

My black wind break was definitely increasing the heat and breaking the cooling breeze. Loose the wind break, BUT keep near by, for when needed.
