How long should I leave the main grow? I have a pumpkin set at 24 feet. Main is know nine feet past the set.I'm growing the plant in the Christmas tree pattern. Each plant has 900 sq ft. What do I do? Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like you have plenty of vine. I would terminate it.

A lot of energy will probable go into filling the leafs to there size, i would consider stopping main ! & also possibly trimming secondary's a bit depending on there length ? 900 sq ft may not be ideal, kind of big ! These plants will grow 2500 sq ft if you let them - but thats not gonna give you the biggest fruit!
