My giant pumpkin plants are doing great, except I have noticed just recently the leaves near the Main root are turning bronze colored? Help any one.

The oldest leaves? Mine too, I think it is an age thing, but others probably know better.

The oldest leaves have been serving the growth of the plant since the beginning, they are tired, and are passing along their nitrogen and nutrient forces to the efforts of sprouting new leaves and the flowers that follow along the vine. Same thing happens for tomato plants too, and often some observe this and conjure evil, and begin to assault that plant with some arsenal of chemicals and fungicides and begin yet another set of issues.
Feed your plants rich, fresh compost, keep the soil moisture consistent without extremes of wet or dry, and cleanly prune off those faded leaves.....and thank them for their service.

Thanks Tomato Man and Smallmouth_Luke, I kind of thought this was more to do with age than anything else. I appreciate you guys easing my mind. Thanks again.
