Where is everyone at this season and where should we be at?

Depends on where you live!! Here in the Pacific Northwest we have a long growing season...so slow and steady is the name of the game here.

With cooler than normal spring. I am about 2 weeks behind on the 1370 plant and right on targeted pollination date on the 993 plant.

Kinda depends on if you start early with a cold frame or green house.I did not and my biggest one to day is just over 35" around , but there are others in my area (shazzy) for examlpe that that make me look like im out of the game, they are about a mounth ahead of me..This is my first year so im very happy with the way the season is going !!Next year i will start early with the cold frames.. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

Starting early with hoophouses is a must if you wanna get a chance of a winner.

my 1556 werner had 6 aborts , with another try sunday morning, pollen is good, crossed a 1446 werner with the 1556 and that pumpkin is at around 30 lbs and growing about 5-6"a day. will try to get the temp down in the morning pollenation with the frozen water bottle trick. hope it works ,what a waste of a great seed if i can not get a pumpkin going!

Pissed off here. I have a not so secret plant going, lots of lettuce but so rainy that the females are aborting left right and center. All I'm wishing for is a 500 lb or so for the Hilda Dill Contest in Windsor. Weird Summer in Atlantic Canada, lots of heat but too much precipitation. Still early, we will see what happens.

I have one that tapes out on the circumf. Scale at 338. I see that I may have some issues with stem stress in the future even after doing what needs to get done. The 1142 Vankooten is a monster in the high 200 but with a bad case of wilt. i Guess well see.
