I am throwing a guess out here but maybe compost tea would help by putting beneficial bacteria on the plant and soil to compete with the detrimental one your worried about. It probably would only work with the soil ones though. Where is the bacteria?

It would be called an antibiotic. There are plenty for humans, but plants are another story. Maybe benificial nematodes as predators?

There is an antibiotic approved for fruit trees but I haven't found one that is approved for cucurbits. It works on surface bacteria not vascular. Is it YVD?

I did not test it but it keeps spreading the way you said. I am pretty sure it is YVD. It is the only thing that comes close to the description of what happened.

I think there are two products with a bactericide. Phyton 27 and Kocide. I don't know if it could prevent YVD though.

Yeah don't feel bad I'll prob be pulling my giant marrow in a week or so. On top of all the aborts I'm having some major leaf issues. This is seriously been the worst year ever!
