Subject: Washing pumpkins?

Had a suggestion to was the pumpkins in a bleach/water solution. How often and when in the life cycle should I start this? What is the purpose of doing this? THANK YOU

You wanna wash the fruit at least once a week with a mild solution of about a capful of bleach to a gallon of water to wash all or any pathogens off the fruit. Thats what i do. I also wash it with anti bactirial soap then rinse. You have to underrtand that by doing this you kill the good bactiria to so use and do spairingly.

We spray a mild bleach mixture on any trouble spots but only when they occur. Have not had the need to wash the pumpkins.
