Nic Nitrate just posted a pic of the one he is using this year to record his pumpkin growth -- should make an interesting time lapse at the end of the season !

i agree it would make a great video, I just wonder if it takes a good quality image. I searched for videos that had been made with it but couldnt find any.

Just took a look at another web site that has it for $80 and it gives a bit more info ( http://www.yardlover.com/timelapse-plant-cam-by-wingscapes )
[quote] Features of the Timelapse PlantCam:
* Easy to use right out of the box * Fully weatherproof - leave it out year round * 16 MB of built-in memory * Choose time intervals from every 30 seconds to once a day * 4 Megapixels - you choose the resolution * Connects easily to your computer or television * Easily share your movies online or through e-mail * Operates on 4 AA batteries [end quote]
So it is a 4 Mega pixel digital camera so not the best quality but should do well enough. I've got an old 4 MP camera that takes 3264x2448 pixel shots in high quality mode so the time lapse cam should be about the same (it also can use SD cards so getting enough storage for a few thousand photos should be fairly cheap ( I use a 2GB card and it will store 2200 photos at that resolution)
