Hey Everyone,
About a week ago I had a post on here about yellow vine disease and I said how my 1662 Stelts, 1421 Stelts and 1161 Rodonis had it. Well both my 1662 and 1421 are done now but my 1161 only had a small about of it on the tip of the main vine.
I almost gave up on my 1161 and the other day I went up to the garden and on 2 diffrent secondaries were 2 football size pumpkins. So I went to work pruning some of the old plant back, watrering, shading fruit etc in 100 degree temp. This morning I checked on both of them and they had grown a good amount over night.
So here is my question..... Does anyone have a homemade recipe or anything of the sort for a stink bug repler that I can spray on my plant to make the stink bugs go away? I really dont have the time or money to buy a expensive insecticide and wait for it to ship.
Thanks everyone for your help and hopefully I can get something out of this year.
Grow'm big!

That's one heck of a line up, I'd fork out the money.

You could try Mint, Catnip, Garlic in a heavy tea. I myself would go with a contact insecticide..Things I eat get different treatment than a Giant Pumpkin.

i would water each vine one at a time and wait for them to climb up onto the leaves, and then kill them. for some reason they think they will drown when you water the vines. funny if you ask me.
