I just printed out a chart for PumpkinPatch.com and it tells how to measure the pumpkin for the est. weight. Well when I did that, it didnt seem that the weight was right. So I found another website and I put the 3 total measurement in and it came out about right.
So my question is this, where can I find an "offical" chart at that I can print out so I can keep data on pumpkin growth rate. I'm new at this, and I also youtubed it and got termor's video.

Thanks. Thats the same video and chart I was using. Notice on Chart 2 where it says 47" it comes up 42lbs. Thats what I was questioning. Is that different type of measurement? But I didnt print out the 2008 chart.

Ryan, from the link from JD, you will find the latest (I think) OTT chart. This is the latest and greatest that I know of. It is updated in 2008. I am guessing that the 47" equals 42 #'s was a circ only chart. The OTT chart requires a circ, end to end, and side to side measurement, all added together. Hope this helps!! Grow em BIG!! Peace, Wayne PS...if more help is needed, email @ [email protected]

After the season is over and there has been time for the seeds to dry -- go to the Seed Exchange section of this Forum and there will be lots of people offering good quality seeds for the price of a SASBE (Self Addressed Stamped Bubble Envelope)- If on a budget that is a great way to get access to good seeds - If you can afford to buy and want more specific seeds the Auctions sub Forum will have a lot of really good seeds up for auction and the best thing about buying there is the proceeds support the local growers clubs -- also most of the growers clubs include a seed distribution from the growers of their club that they include in the membership which is another great way to get seeds.

Ryan, the place to "buy" seeds is from an Auction during the offseason!!!(The money goes to a growers club, not to a "someone") Plenty of opportunities on each and every weekend for a few months!!! If ya want a freebie, then look thru seed exchange boards for those same few months!!! Both of these opportunities are available to all who are nice, polite, and have a lil bit o sense of humor!!! LOL Peace, Wayne
