I read in a post from a few years back that the bencemark for the 30 day circumference measurement was 100". What is the significance of this measurement? Is there an ending weight that this measurement relates to?

My best pumpkin is at 102" circumference at 24 days (241 OTT, 303 lbs) and I would like to know what kind of pace I am on.

Based on a statistical analysis of incremental pumpkin growth measures and ending scale weight, it was determined that the average circumference of a 1000lb pumpkin at day 30 was in the 100" range.

Follow this link for the Ailts/Landry benchmark file which gives you updated and full benchmark data:

Buck, you have to figure in your regions weather(temps)into the 100" guideline.100inches at 30 days means one thing in washington state and it means something else in the upper midwest.having said that-102" at 24 days is really cranking

Wayne, If this thing is still growing at fair time it would kill me to cut it off for the competition.

Should I pre register just in case?
