i will start using it now that all leaves on the plant are mature. i am throwing in a teaspoon per gallon once a week with my insectide and fungicide combo and a drop or 2 of dish soap as surfactant for a 4 gallon mix sprayed with stihl fogger. from what i have read it can be mixed with most other fungicides or insecticides....is this correct? has anyone with more mature leaves noticed any ill effects at one teaspoon per gallon. i have read some burning on some plants early on but not sure how everyone has been doing with it. hoping for some responses from those using it.

here is a good thread i just found. i see that phil and jane hunt used it mostly later in the game in august and september. i also see it mixes with other products and also that 1 tablespoon per gallon was used per week by the hunts with a warning at higher doses, so i feel comfortable with 1 heaping teaspoon and will start with that rate first.

ETM, CO2 and litovit are the same product, apply one tablespoon per gallon of water per plant. Shazzy, I normally apply mine seperately, havent had one bad effect from it thus far. Billium, come see us at www.extremepumpkinstore.com

Shazzy, I recommend that you call RTI and inquire about mixing it with other items. I think I remember them telling me not to mix it. It may be fine but why chance it.

I would love to buy some of that except I have no $$ lol. I need potash fert and would love some CO2 but I can't, maybe next year. Been a hard year with losing my job, getting a new one making wayyyy less. Maybe I should sell blood/plasma and make a garden fund. lmao

Billium, believe it or not, that is how I funded most of my garden supply's. I can donate plasma twice a week, the first time I get 20 dollars the second time I get 40, easy money if you don't mind laying there for a hour with a needle in your arm.

I e-mailed RTI about CO2. Here's their reply:
Thank you for contacting us. You had a few questions, and i'll be happy to answer them for you:
• Do high ambient temperatures (+85F) reduce the effectiveness of CO2 due to closing stomata? The stomata need to be open for the CO2 product to enter the leaf and turn into carbon dioxide. I've read that stomata remain open up to around 98F, after which they close up to retain water. So CO2 would still be effective. In fact, Ron Wallace found that CO2 helped against water stress. • Would an organic surfactant (sticker/spreader) increase the effectiveness of CO2 or have no effect? Absolutely. We recommend using a surfactant when applying CO2. We are currently doing trials with our own surfactants to include in the product, and hopefully will be included soon. • What would be the application frequency for the AG ? Recommended application rate is every 2-4 weeks. CO2 works by increasing levels of carbon dioxide up to the maximum level that the plant can handle, which is about 0.1% atmosphere. Generally, there is 0.03% carbon dioxide level in the air, so CO2 can triple the amount of carbon dioxide a plant needs. However, applying more will not harm the plant, (when applied in moderation of course) but you can apply too much that it becomes a waste of money. You'll definitely see results, and work out which is best for you and your plant. • What is the timing of application: vegetative growth stage, pollination or fruiting or all of them? From vegetative growth stage onwards.
I hope this helps. Our new website will be launched in a few weeks with information and FAQs on all of our products.
Take care, and please let me know if you have any further questions. Do you use our mycorrhiza? We are offering discount on CO2 with a purchase of our Pumpkin Pro mycorrhiza. I'll email through a flyer when the sale starts.
Kind Regards,
Alan

Been seeing LOTS of talk about CO2 lately and people seem to be crazy about it? Does it really work this good?
