I planned on getting pollen fron somebody that is 1 hour and a 1/2 away. I just heard that pollen is good for only 8 hours. Once I get the pollen it will be a 16 hours before I used the pollen flower. Question, do you think the pollen will still be good? will keeping it in a vase in a coller prolong its life? what about people who send pollen via Fed Ex,that must take a full day or two, did the pollen still work? Richard: Males can be successfully cut off the night before the famale opens and put into a vase for the next morning and they will be fine. I have done this many times. I put the males by the window inside. When they begin to open on their own I know the pollen is at it's best.
