I will be trying a product under my pumpkin that will give less resistance than wet ice would. It will be perfectly level and flat with no water ever getting on the surface. I believe that this could improve over all growth and shape as there will be no resistance to the bottoms growth, as there is with all other medias such as sand, mill fabric, ect.
Any opinions to the contrary and resons why this would be a bad idie would be appriciated.

Just make sure it drains water through...you don't want to rot out the bottom..

Wet ice can be pretty damn slippery, I'm interested.

Whatever... Just keep her level, dry, and stress fee. We have grown them in dirt, mud, sand (better than mud) and sand with pulp mill belting (which has had the best results). Your ideas sounds like my next endevor, piles of ball bearings under the belting... LOL & Good luck to all. We have some tough choices ahead of us at this pivital juncture in the game, my humbel advice (for what its worth) is... dont love them to death! You gotta let a hoe be a hoe as they say.
