my female flower just opened up today . How soon do I need to pollinate it?

You usually cover it the night be fore with a cup or a baggie, that way when it opens you can take the baggie off and take a flower and pollinate it. Otherwise a bee will come along and pollinate it, which is good but bad if you want to pollinate it with a flower from a perticular plant for the genetics.

Funny thing happened this morning, I had two females open one on two different plants. I removed the cup I had on the flower and while working with the males I had a bee fly into the female. I cussed a little but continued on, went to the next plant and removed the cup and it was like slow motion, I saw the bee coming but couldn't stop it, right into the female. Good thing these are the third females pollinated on each plant, backups.
