It's the time of year for panic on D10 measurements (been there). Don't sweat it! Take that fruit in nice position on the vine and go with it. Have confidence in your plant.

Last year I had a pumpkin in my patch at 16.76" on D10, 56.5 on D20. At 85 days old it was taping 426" OTT (I think that's about 1610#??).

Find that ideal position on the vine and go with it.

we dont even take a day ten measurement. in fact i dont even care that much for a 20 day measure either.
i have seen super star sized pumpkins fizzle by mid season and slow starters just keep ramping up past those early stars.
my pumpkin choices are pretty much made by the time my chosen pumpkin is basketball size. so no need to go nuts with the measuring tape. its will be what it will be at that point so ill start my measurements at 30 days.
its now a marathon and the sprinters will start to fall behind.

I have a similar thread going and after measuring a couple I thought I would add here.

1343 lyons day 10 =15"
901 hunt day 9=12"
1350 Starr day 9=12"
985 Werner, first 2 aborted. 3rd poll 3 days old.

I am freaking out over here!!! Plants are large, healthy and very aggressive and running out of space to grow on the main.

My 834.5 last year was 14 inches at day 10,,, even though an 800 pound pumpkin is'nt that great in my area,,,,, 14 inches is still way small,, and to get over 800,,, thats why they say dont worry about ten day cir,,,
