I have females that are in adequate range to be keepers but they don’t seem to be maturing. They have stayed the same size for 6-7 days. Both 1622 and 1544 are doing this. Neighbor has had younger females already open and it still look like I am days away. What could the causes and solutions be? Plants look fairly healthy and continue to grow vines and leafs.
Thanks
Chad

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I have a similar issue with aborts. Maybe your plant is still in the vegitative growth phase. Wish i could be better help. I'd cut all applications of nitrogen and wait. Be patient.

Jr I am also growing the 1622 and it did the same thing with a female at 10ft. Mine seemed to be due to a poorly timed fertilizer application and possibly a water problem.
The females are blooming now but it hasn't been long enough to tell if they set or not.

Could be genetic or the plant is stressed.Keep the plants well watered and dont fertilize esp' no nitrogen

Have the plants been showing signs of hi N? Fat bluish green leaves?

I think that I over fertilized, along with very wet weather. I have a female on the 1622 that has continued to grow the last few days. It is about 11 1/2 feet out on main so I hope she's a keeper. I lost my only remaining female on the 1544 MV. Time to Pick a secondary.
Thanks for your help
