normal for soil to wash away......leave alone or pile more on.

I'm having the same issue. But I just got in from putting more dirt on them.

I remove all the dirt from the base of the main vine leaf node area in 2-3 weeks from now, with a high pressure hose when the roots are formed. That way the vine get air and can dry out. If this already happened in your garden, probably just leave the vine partially un buried. Like Jeremy said its normal for soil to wash away... Long term wet and buried vines eventually have a higher tendency to rot also.

Mine are coming unburied as well. Should I leave them even though you can see the roots at the leaf nodes? Also there are exposed little white roots everywhere around all the vines. Not sure if this is from excessive rain or finally getting good seeds and amended soil.
