I have a question about this I pollinated 3 pumpkins on the main vine of the 1288. How long will it usually take for the fruit to set. My leaves are big and the plants still in its vegitative state and is growing a lot everyday. Any imput will help. my leaves look healthy and no blueish color just a dark green and i'm no lnger feeding the plant any nitro.

The actual fruit set will happen shortly after pollinating the Female and within a day or 2 you should be able to tell if they pollinated or not - They start to grow fairly quickly and if they didn't pollinate or only partially pollinated will start to look kind of spongy (getting a bit soft instead of firm) once they've gotten to about softball size and are still firm you usually have a good pollination (though a partially pollinated one can get that size you can usually tell by then if something is wrong as it will have started to soften.

Kenny ,if theyre set you'l1 see the fruit start to visually get bigger day 4-5.They'll really shine up and the blossum will be enlarged.By day 7 - 10 theyll be no doubt if theyre set

thanks Joe. I'm not sure what the issue was. It may be that the plant is still in its vegitative growth stage...My window is pollinations set by the 3rd of July..
