I know I have read posts before regarding seeds in the blossom, but apparently I didn't retain any of the information.
I pollinated a blossom with five lobes, one of which was pushed in toward the center by a growth containing several miniature seeds.
What becomes of pumpkins which are a product of such blossoms?

I grew a 800 plus pounder last year that did have seeds in the blossom end . It was the first pumpkin I have ever grown before like that and would usually cull them because of the bad luck growers say they have with them, but I didnt have a bit of trouble with mine.

Joe, I had to choose two pollinations last year with seeds in the blossum based upon timing, vine position etc. and they were both healthy and fine. If I had a choice they would not be chosen but sometimes it is what you got. John

I had bad luck with one here. I'm going to try to avoid using them this year if possible.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll ride it out for awhile, at least until the next one comes along. I just didn't want to waste a great plant by choosing a blossom which would produce a freak.
