Are there any other growers nearby that might have some male flowers you could pick up in their patch ??

Yes, good idea! However, I just checked patch this morning and found 4 males mouths wide open, but females closed. Can I manually open females and insert males? And is it best to cut females and store in fridge for future use? thanks! Thoughts?

You can cut the male flowers.......oneZ with no pumpkin on it....and store in the fridge....they have lasted two dayZ for me at times....with success, however, your females need to be pollintated perferrably at sunrise or soon after....viability of pollination drastically cuts down after 4-5 hours.....by 500 that night....theyre done....
Do you cover your females and males the night before....I use nylons to keep the bugs out till Im ready in the morning....they get three good covered males dusted on her then she gets tied back shut with a cable tie as I can control just how much that tie closes down, then get covered right back up again with the nylon....make sure no beeZ go after while itZ open it cuZ soon aZ it openZ they go right after it .....
By 0500 PM that night I pull off the nylons and cut the flower open to dry out. Hope thiZ helpZ

I have four plants. Two out about 8-10' the other two 6-7'. The two out 10' lots of females. So male flowers last 2 days in the fridge?
