I decided to place my Squash Vine Borer trap out in the patch the other day WITHOUT any lures or attractants and low and behold today I look, and there in the trap, is the first SVB of the year. Wonderful. I guess it's never too early to begin the insecticide program.

On a side note: Good luck to all this year and may each of you acheive your personal best!!

I saw the first SVB today. I tried to kill it but failed. Hopefully my barrier of Merit and Bifen will do the job.
