Ive been using the OTT weight chart in Don Langevin's 3rd book, today I noticed a different weight chart on the 'how to' section of BP. A OTT of 164 is 99 lbs on the book's chart but is 104 lbs on the other chart. Which is more accurate? Im a rookie and not in competition so I guess it doesnt really matter but I am curious.

Go to main menue on the first/home page, to GPC, to official GPC website, to resources, there is a pumpkin estimation chart there, I think that is the most up to date one.

OTT charts are periodically updated, taking into consideration the latest and greatest measures/weight. It has been noted AGs are getting heavier per OTT, believe some have been as much as 25% over chart. Shape seems to make a difference. So considering Langevin's book is 2003, you can expect it to be a bit on the light side -- it is best to use the latest and greatest OTT chart. Keep in mind this is just an estimate, so both 99 and 104 are valid estimates for 164 OTT. Your actual weight could be 90lbs, or 125lbs, or ... you really don't know for sure till it hits the scales! Odd, my book III shows OTT 164 is 100lbs?
