and killed, along with destroying one huge leaf,, but it was worth it. Ha! Just wanted to give you guys the heads up they are out and about now in Ohio. This is the earliest I have ever seen them out this time of year.

Yep saw one here 3 days ago. I didnt use a two by four to kill it, squashing the leaf in the process but I guess it's the only way to really be sure lol :)

Those SVB traps work well. Males and females are piled up in mine.

Moth that lays the eggs

Its a moth that looks like a red and black wasp...it lays eggs on pkn and squash plants (as well as other cucurbits like cucumbers etc) which hatch into little worms that bore into the plant and eat it from the inside out. Fun lil critters.
