I'm guessing genetics, weather, soil, and size of the plant all influence the daily growth of the mainvine. I've seen in a few of the diaries, growers mention some of their mainvines are growing a foot per day. The best I recall my plants ever growing was 8-9"/day on the mainvine. A couple of my plants currently have 4-5' mainvines, and have recently grown about 4.5"/day. It's been a little cooler here lately, but a foot of growth per day would be awesome.

I get anywhere from 8-12 inches when the conditions are right. Even on the same plant there is variability. Genetics I am sure has a role as well since I have had varience with 2 different plants under the same conditions.

Adequate watering and 6-8 hours of sun a day will get you a foot a day of vine growth, provided your soil is right and the plant is getting enough nitrogen

14, have read over, and over, again that every seed (from the same pkn) is different. 8" per day of main vine growth is massive!!!! What other plant have you got growin that much? Peace, Wayne
PS...Grow em BIG!!!

Wayne,
The 8-9" mainvine growth was in a past season.
Best of luck to you!

We have found that plant growth is directly related to soil conditions (high nitrogen early on), sun and WARMTH! Im sure genetics play a role but not so much as the afore mentioned.
