I know not to spray anything in the daytime, I learned that lesson the hard way last year, but I wonder is all 'daytime' concidered the same? For example its time for me to apply Bayer T&S which I know needs to be watered/rained in after application. I knew rain was coming at 6:00 this morning and wanted to spray so it would get soaked into the soil but didnt because it was daylight even though the sky was practically black with clouds I was afraid to spray simply because its daytime. Its too late now its coming a monsoon out there lol but for future reference, could I have sprayed this morning or will I have to wait till it rains in the late evening or night?

You want to avoid spraying in the heat of the day, so the sun won't fry your leaves. Early morning or early evening are usually ok, but before dark so the spray can dry.

Hi Tammy,
I live in Carrollton, Ga. I grew for 10 or 11 years. I sprayed after 6 pm and it never hurt my plants.

Where are you from in Alabama?

the main culprit is not to spray in the day time when its going to be or is already hot with full sun.the sun does the damage not the day light.
in a pinch if its a cloudy day and no sun in the forcast ?
(and you feel like rolling the dice?) then you can spray without worry.
sometimes like in the case of cuke or squash bugs making a first showing and you need to get a spray on asap ---- a cloudy day will surfice.
