Does anyone here use Miracle-Gro Organic Choice on the backyard pumpkins? If so, when and how much do you use?

ryan not sure what you are lookin for in this question, yes organic is the way to go but miracle grow is half a decade behind pumpkin growers.

He does not mean regular miracle grow. He said ORGANIC miracle grow which I assume has little salt.

What kind of "plant food" do yall use? The only i've used so far is the Miracle-Gro Plant food that comes in the box and uses one scoop to feed'em.. But my pumpkins seem to be growin slow. I'll post update pics in growers diaries.

Ryan, most growers use fish emulsion and soluable or concentrated seaweed. We add other things to soil as well though, but what people add depends on the results of their soil tests.

Ryan, I agree. Look at Tom's site. He is a good guy no matter what we say about him. The best stuff to use organic so you are on the right track. Salts suck water out of everything and was a major concern with non-organic ferts. Lots of giants have been grown using powdered fish and seaweed and most of all water. They work great. Also make sure you have your patch tested by a reputable soil testing agency like University of Mass. Organic matter, PH. NPK percentages are all very important. Then you can complain about bugs and critters.
