This will be my first year using mill fabric and I was wondering,do you put sand under the fabric or just lay it on the soil also if you do use sand, do you make it flat or dish it out so that it can hold the shape of the pumpkin better? Thanks Danny

We use builders sand under the fabric due to the firm support. Think saucer shaped. Then a layer of the rounder play sand with a very thin layer of play sand on top of the mill fabric. The play sand is washed very clean and being rounder, acts like ball bearings. This gives firms support, rounder bottoms, no rodent damagr, no rot and we can still move the fruit with ease to allow for vine issue adjustments.

Do I get extra points if I use the sand out of my golf bunker? It's white and purdy! Jeesh this is getting insane. Now I gotta make their bed? What stories do you read them before sunset? Or do I need an I-pad on automatic? LOL. I'm having a ball! Good Luck to you guys!
